Our "A Mermaid's Tale" Vacation home is a wonderful cottage ideal for families, girls weekends and even romantic couple honeymoons! A 5 minute walk to the main Tybee Island Beach, 2 blocks from door to beach. The main beach is wide, flat and ideal for walking, surfing and just enjoying the sand and surf.
Our home was featured on the 2008 Tybee Tour of Homes and was a big hit with all the visitors.
Pet Friendly- all pets welcome ( note- no fenced yard) Complimentary High Speed internet, both DSL and WiFi.
The home is ground level ( easy acess for all ages) with off street parking for 4 cars.
The home has been completely remodeled and restored and full of bright and cheerful beach colors, art and comfy furniture. Updates include a brand new fully equipped kitchen and a family friendly open floor plan.
Each of the bedrooms feature flat screen TVs with DVD players and a 42" flat wall mounted TV in the spacious family gathering area which includes the living room, dining room, and kitchen.
There are ceramic and wood floors throughout.
Our outdoor areas are just as special! This includes a rocking chair filled side porch, a private back yard with two separate seating areas, and a perfect place for a relaxing outdoor massage.
We have two master bedrooms! The Garden Room and the Nautical Room are both large Master Suites with King Beds including their own full baths. Our other bedrooms include what our grand children love -the Bunk Room with it's bunk beds, trundle bed, seating area and flat screen TV with DVD.
This is the perfect family gathering home and if you have more then one large family, we have other Mermaid Cottages directly across the street including Under the Tybee Sun which also has 4 bedrooms AND a private pool! Pet Friendly as well!!!
If you are bringing a very large family or several groups of people, directly across the Street is our other Cottage, "Basking Under the Tybee Sun" complete with a pool and two fabulous screened porches! Both A Mermaids Tale and Basking Under the Tybee Sun have 4 bedrooms and 3 baths, combined both our homes for a great extended- family vacation.
